I. Bring Meeting to Order (please be prompt, every attempt will be made to start the meeting at 6:00 pm)

 

II. Introductions/ Assign a date, place and time for the next Platform Committee Meeting

 

III. Secretary to report on the activities of the DAW’s (reports received since  the last meeting)

 

IV. Motion: ( R. Mc Lellan)

“The Platform committee recommend to the DAW’s that they endorse Charlotte Laws as a Neighborhood Council representative on the mayor’s 912 Comission.”

If the motion passes, the moderator or secretary can report to the next DAW’s assembly that a motion that the DAW’s endorse Charlotte was recommended by the Platform Committee.

           

A. Call for a 2nd of the motion.

V. Motion: (G. Shea)

“ the platform committee enter into discussions about changing its role from a committee proposing specific issues to bring to the members as legislative goals of the DAW’s , to an Executive Committee which would

act to bring structural, functional and goal recommendations to the monthly DAW’S Meetings for discussion and approval.”

“That the platform committee discuss any possible role the DAW’s can play in influencing the results of the up coming June 6th election on behalf of animal friendly candidates”.

           

            A. Call for a 2nd to the motion.

VI. Motion: (R. Mc Lellan)

 

“That the platform committee discuss any possible role of the DAW’s in supporting the unlimited cats per household ordinance.”

 

A. Call for a 2nd to the motion.

 

B. Discussion if a 2nd is obtained

            “that the platform committee discuss a “Code of Conduct” for the DAW’s “
