Director of Animal Welfare for the Central Hollywood area - Ms. Rachel Paap
|
Paap’s
background in advertising and entertainment has greatly influenced her
career in animal welfare. As the Director of Community Programs for The
Sam Simon Foundation, she was accountable for the development and
implementation of public awareness for the foundation programs.
Paap single-handedly created the foundation structure and developed
the humane education curriculum that catapulted neighborhood interest with
the mobile spay/neuter clinic, which is still being presented to schools
and community youth centers in targeted areas of Los Angeles.
Previously,
Paap was the Program Manager for the Spay Neuter Assistance Program
(SNAP), where she forged key relationships and partnerships with other
organizations for continuous joint ventures in humane outreach. Paap created the plan for placement of the mobile spay/neuter
clinic locations in large community centers, such as popular grocery
stores and shopping areas. Currently,
her boutique public relations consulting business (RP Worx) enables Paap
to act on behalf of animal welfare charities; securing funding for various
projects, and aiding existing organizations with programs, events and
marketing campaigns. She and her husband share their home with four rescued cats and two dogs, and a revolving door to nurture, rehabilitate and re-home street dogs. |
