Dear Mayor Villaraigosa,
The following Directors of Animal Welfare (DAWs) for Los Angeles urge you to permanently close the elephant exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo and to send Ruby, Gita and Billy to PAWS in Northern California or to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. This will also save taxpayer money.
We do not want to see any more elephants in Los Angeles.
Please do the right thing for these beautiful and deserving creatures. They are counting on you.
