DAW Minutes for April 2008 Meeting

Meeting called to order @6:15, no roll taken (7 people in attendance)

1. DAWs brought up that animals in parks & on trails are not being cared for in the heat.  Discussion about SCRA & SCNC making signage for Fryman park that gives warnings.
2. Discussion about Councilmember Parks motions (previously sent to you).  Van Nuys Neighborhood Council has supported and gave their template. Greater Valley Glen Council and Mar Vista Neighborhood Council have supported. All should file community impact statements.  
3. Discussion about getting publicity for DAWs & programs.  Suggested that we find a few major projects for 2008 cause & really put our efforts into them.
4. More problems w/shelters (esp. east valley). Discussion about remedies.
