There are more than 1.7 million residents in the thriving metropolis called the San Fernando Valley, and there are approximately 50,000 people who reside the area called Greater Valley Glen. Valley Glen representatives have developed and spearheaded campaigns resulting in better zoning regulations and a $2.5 million neighborhood block grant to improve blighted areas north of Victory Blvd. Community involvement and outreach programs are a priority for the current Council.
